A little about
RPM Analogue Audio
and
Richard March

A couple of years ago I was looking for a pair of speakers - I didn’t want to risk buying them off eBay and there was literally nowhere in the Midlands where I could go and demo any of the vintage HiFi gear I was interested in…
Having spent the previous 37 years working as a professional musician and 20 years teaching Music Production in a local FE college. I have always had a keen interest in audio equipment and sound reproduction, especially in vintage guitars, amps and synths etc. As well as vintage audio gear.
When I saw the premises on Sandon Road available to rent I saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market and hopefully turn a hobby into a business.
After spending a couple of months refitting the shop and sourcing enough equipment to stock the shelves I opened for business on 16th October 2021 Over a year later and the store is well established as a destination for good quality vintage audio equipment that is offered for sale at reasonable prices with the reassurance that you are buying equipment that has been checked over and serviced, supplied with warranty and most importantly you can hear the equipment and make comparisons before buying.
I wanted to create a space that was friendly and welcoming and catered for all budgets with no pressure to buy.
It was important to have affordable options as well as some of the more expensive, highly collectible and iconic pieces.
A customer told me a while back that they loved the store because “It's like a museum where everything is for sale” which pretty much sums up the ethos of RPM Analogue Audio Ltd.
- hope to see you soon!
